If you are a fan of the culture then you know why millions flock to discover the latest and greatest news in the business. They love the drama, the hip-hop beefs, the gossip, the creativeness, and the boldness of artists needed to get the edge in this music game. We want to help spread the word around to those we know from a perspective familiar to them.
To say that our aim is to only deliver Urban Entertainment content would be incorrect. The entertainment world is to vast to focus on one thing and people are more complex than that. Sure they say we should have a specific target audience but the world is a melting pot where kids like more than one type of music or artist. We aim to stay on top of all the events going on in the movements of the youth culture. Not to say we don’t have material for the old heads too.
Getting back to why we created this site ARTIST PROMOTION. We want to provide an outlet for local artists in the Boston area, the new England area, the east coast, and eventually world wide.
Living and trying to get a record deal in Boston has often been compared to “Crabs trying to climb out of a bucket”. It is getting better but it is very difficult . there is a lot of competition and artists are often over looked by record companies in favor of other cities with their own movements taking place.
I feel there has been a lack of support by fellow artists. Attending venues and going about getting on with the mentality.”If it ain’t us it ain’t poppin, so I aint coppin.” …..Shit I have done it myself.
The consensus is that we need to unite and show support for one another. More collaborations, more cross promotion to show the rest of the nation what we have to offer. We need to spread the good music coming out of the area and in return embrace the music and culture movements from other cities with less of a foot hold in the game.
